On 7^th July 2017, Dr. Anne Ellersiek attended a workshop organized by the Graduate School of East Asian Studies (FU Berlin). The workshop themed “Measuring quality and effectiveness of development cooperation programs on capacity development: State, firms and civil societies”. It discussed questions concerning the quality and effectiveness of partnerships with a focus on capacity development, bringing together actors with different backgrounds (scholars, practitioners, civil society). At the workshop, Dr. Ellersiek held a presentation titled “Aid effectiveness and accountability: the view of new donors on partnerships and models of development cooperation”. During her presentation, Dr. Ellersiek presented results from interviews with donor agencies regarding their experiences with partnerships and lessons learned.
