Scholars from the SFB 700 guided the intensive two-day seminar on “Preparing for a Post after Taking an Assignment.” Participants were given methods and means of access to analyze fragile statehood based on the research experience of the SFB. In addition to critically reflecting on the implications of fragile statehood for German foreign policy, the participants were asked to develop context-specific strategies for their individual host countries. Advanced training workshops to prepare for new assignments are a focus of cooperation between the SFB 700 and the Federal Foreign Office.
