ISA Reception 2015

With several panelists, a poster exhibit, and a book and information stand, the SFB 700 “Governance in Areas of Limited Statehood” participated this year in the Annual Convention of the International Studies Association (ISA) from February 18th - 21st 2015 in New Orleans, USA.

A highlight of the experience was a reception co-hosted by the SFB 700 and the Kolleg-Forschergruppe (KFG) “The Transformative Power of Europe.”

The book and information stand welcomed participants during the entire four-day conference. Through current book publications, a selection of working papers, information material, and a presentation, visitors could gain an overview of the SFB 700’s work.

With about 350 guests, the SFB 700’s reception was very well attended. Following a short speech by SFB Coordinator Prof. Thomas Risse and Director of the KFG Tanja A. Börzel, guests could learn about the work of the SFB’s research projects by browsing the exhibited posters and speaking to members of the Collaborative Research Center – all in an informal atmosphere with refreshments on hand.

In addition, attending members of the SFB 700 presented and discussed their research findings on various panels throughout the conference. This provided an ideal opportunity for in-depth exchanges with their international colleagues.

We would like to thank all conference participants who made their way to our reception, panels, and information stand, and we look forward to the ISA Convention next year!
